Artist statement

In 2004, Chabrières created Atelier Constance Chabrières, in Paris, France. It was a jump - a leap of faith - in full-time sculpting.

She draws her inspiration from human emotions and movement. She is inspired by nature.

Chabrières sculpts the living.

She captures the rhythm of street life, the way everything and everyone dances to its own beat.

Chabrières explores through sculpture, photography, collages, painting, drawing, and video as well as music. Nourished by in-depth research and largely influenced by psychology and poetry, she has created a story collage of instants - which we can all recognize ourselves in.
